Toro Y Moi returns > to the valley for the first time since last year's South By Stateside festival at Sail Inn in Tempe. I'm super stoked for the show tonight at Crescent Ballroom because 1) I always love a show at Crescent and 2) this will be the the first time seeing Toro Y Moi live even though it's the 4th time I've had a ticket to ride [long story short: conflicting festival time slots, flu, hangover].
I've really become a fan of Toro Y Moi over the last few years because I've gradually shifted a lot of my musical moods to this electronic-infused, chill-style genre and now as an amateur producer and music-obsessed geek I just get inspired by such robust talent stemming from a one-man tech-savvy artist like him, Washed Out, Tropics, etc.
Stateside Presents is hosting an informal Q&A with Toro Y Moi today at 5pm so get to Crescent Ballroom early if you want to chat with him otherwise the show starts at 7pm.
