Holy Ghost! >> hit Phoenix proper on Monday night at Crescent Ballroom. It was the first time the Brooklyn-based duo and Co. hit the desert southwest and the long-awaited show was fucking illness to the max.
Who doesn't love some fun synthetic pop in the face? Those who are fellow club members assembled at the staple intimate venue downtown to get their dance on and another treat was in store in Midnight Magic opening which was super disco mega funk I have been wanting to see for a while as well. It was a pleasant surprise to walk in and see that name on stage signage.
For me the premier Holy Ghost! show in AZ was everything I expected. They brought a crisp performance and all of my favorite tracks scattered throughout the setlist including 'Do It Again', 'It's Not Over' and 'Wait And See'. If my knee wasn't being a dick I would have been dancing the entire evening but I guess that's what I get for running 5 miles a hour before the show.
I'll try to update this post with some rad video of the aforementioned fave songs if I can figure out why YouTube doesn't like me tonight. See you at Alabama Shakes this Thursday!
